Members of the Dutch national korfball team opened the Amsterdam Stock Exchange at 9 AM, local time, Tuesday 28 July.

In recognition of their World Games title last week in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei, players including Suzanne Struik and Tim Bakker, and the winning coach Jan Sjouke van den Bos were among the party that opened trading in Amsterdam.

The korfball players and their coach joined a prestigious list of organisations, multinationals, politicians, other well known athletes and TV personalities who have been given the ceremonial privilege of opening the AEX, the world’s oldest stock exchange.
