The freeware provides information in two languages (Chinese and English). The appropriate one is detected automatically upon program initialization.
It supports a rapid search function for the event schedules, a browser for the latest news through RSS, an off-line map for Kaohsiung City, off-line maps for the 23 venues, and extensive information on each of the sports of The World Games 2009. And much more!
This is how the developers inform iPhone users about their application and about their objectives:
"The freeware was developed by both Skycold Corporation and the Department of Computer Science of the National Zheng-zhi University, TPE. All of the contents in the freeware including articles, reporting, graphics and videos are provided by the Kaohsiung Organizing Committee. Without an official budget or subsidies, the publishers wish by way of this freeware to let more iPhone users experience The World Games 2009. Bravo Kaohsiung!"
And the International World Games Association says: "Bravo Skycold Corporation and Computer Science Department of the National Zheng-zhi University!"
